When Veronica came to us, she had the spark, passion, and top-tier training to become an impactful life coach, but she needed help honing in on a niche, a defined target market, and a company name. Like many newcomers to the entrepreneurial world, she knew she wanted to help others, but she was hesitant to narrow down too much, too soon. 

Wouldn’t it be better to coach anyone, at any stage of life, male or female; married, divorced or single; kids or no kids, by choice or by circumstance? 

On the surface, to anyone new to the world of marketing, that makes sense. You’ll take anyone on as a client, you can serve everyone where they’re at! That means more clients, right? 

Nope! There’s an age-old saying among us marketers: When you market to everyone, you market to no one. Trust us, this is 100% true. 

We worked closely with Veronica to hone in on a niche that truly lit her up and ignited her heart’s passion. At On a Mission Brands, we take this piece of the puzzle very seriously, making sure to never rush the process. We conducted multiple conversations and had open lines of communication among our team of copywriters, strategists, and designers during the planning process to make sure we all understood the heart and purpose of Veronica’s new life coaching business. 

On top of that, our process helped boost Veronica’s confidence and focus in launching her new business. Once we were all sure we had nailed it, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work building a standout brand and SquareSpace website to showcase Veronica’s mission as a heart-led life coach for women in middle age. The results were impressive, if we do say so ourselves! Take a look for yourself!

Our SquareSpace Website Launch To-Do List:

  • Dig deep into Veronica’s vision for her new life coaching business, including who she is most passionate about helping. We also took a look at Veronica’s life coaching certification program, iPEC, and how it played a role in what she wanted to do for her clients. 

  • Develop clear mission and vision messaging to attract the perfect-fitting audience for Veronica’s offerings. 

  • Design a totally on-point brand, and brand assets (logos, colors, and fonts), that would solidify the website (and Veronica) as a safe space for her audience, leads, and potential clients. We also wanted the branding to reflect Veronica’s values and her personal journey toward finding herSELF, after a lifetime of putting everyone else first. 

  • Write strategic copy for Midlife Unleashed’s lead magnet opt-in page, home page, coaching page, and about page. This included guiding Veronica in the development of a video training series lead magnet and writing her opt-in page and supporting emails. 

  • Create an easy-to-navigate, cohesive, SEO-optimized website that both Veronica and her ideal women love.

  • Create an on-brand, highly flexible website that can be scaled up as Midlife Unleashed grows to new heights.

The Process

After the initial clarity call, where we decided we'd be a great fit to work together, Veronica filled out our branding and offer questionnaires. 

Based on her answers, we collaborated to explore her options for a more dialed-in niche and target audience based on her goals, passions, and expertise. After a few meetings with key team members, we helped Veronica land on a defined niche and company name. 

Next, we came up with a strategic website layout and determined what pages to give priority to as per her current needs. 

Once the site map was approved, we started working on the copy for his website. We worked on the copy for one page at a time, and only when Veronica was completely happy with the results did we move on to the next. 

While the copy and the messaging were being written and finalized, we also started the process of coming up with cohesive brand colors, logo, and other assets. 

Veronica was involved in each phase of the project, and her input was taken into account, helping us learn more about her vision and voice. Tweaks were made (keeping Veronica’'s messaging and strategy in mind) until she was completely happy with the results. 

Once the copy for a particular page was approved, we moved on to the design phase of the website. We kept Veronica in the loop on every step of the design process, making sure she was on board with each choice, and adjusting when she didn’t feel aligned.

An on-brand SquareSpace website that:

1) speaks directly to the target audience Veronica is passionate about serving

2) is a high-functioning part of a successful, converting sales funnel for Veronica’s new coaching business
